The Geil is £92 (1600mhz 9-9-9-28). The Corsair is at £122 (1600mhz 8-8-8-24). Would I see any real world performance increase by buying the Corsair Vengeance? Or should I save £30 and get the Geil?

I will be using my PC for a variety of things, I know it's not much of a description. This is the system I'm hoping to put together, roughly, could the Geil fit in just fine (I'm going to overlock the i5-2500k)?

The performance difference in memory-heavy tasks will be marginally slower with the Geil due to the slightly looser timings - but there really won't be much in it, certainly not £30 better performance.

In games the difference will range from tiny to non-existent.

Edit: Have a look at this review that compares the performance of a range of dual channel DDR3 kits. Admittedly this is on the LGA 1156 platform, but I would expect similar performance on the LGA 1155. Best to look at the real-world performance difference between the two 1600MHz kits, one is 8-8-8-24 the other is 11-11-11-30. Obviously the performance difference between the Geil and corsair kits you are looking at will be considerably smaller than between the two 1600MHz kits in this test.
