I recieved my new Geil PC6400 RAM (overclockers very quick delivery)and cannot get it to work faster than 667?.

Then i googled a Q: and found this ....anyone here know otherwise?.

Its just the conservative SPD settings, whats the rest of your system specs?

Have you manually set the RAM to run faster than 667?

Thanks for the reply... here are the screen dumps.

It looks like its only seeing one bank of RAM?

The Dual VSTA cannot run RAM higher then 667. It doesn't support DDR800 RAM. Odd that it's only seeing one bank. Try reseating the RAM and manually setting it to DDR667, manually set the timings to 4-4-4-12 (if you have the CAS4 stuff). Set it to dual channel and Command rate 2T.

Let me know if that works as I'm thinking of getting the same RAM for the mobo. I know that other people with the same mobo have gotten the 2GB set of Geil RAM to work perfectly fine with it.

Should be right there under Chipset in the 3rd tab I think. Same place were you manually set the RAM speed.
