Just a quick post to say I'm very pleased so far with my GeIL 2x1GB 6400 Black Dragon ram.

It runs on a 7 layer PCB and just 1.8v at CAS4 - stock. No heat spreaders.

However when pushed, even at just 1.8v, it's stable T1 CAS4 450/900MHz on my current system!

Passing bechmarks with ease, I'll be pushing for 1GHz and even tighter timings because quite frankly the voltage allows for it.

Just 1.8v being pushed hard already is ridiculous, in a good way. :D

Highly recommended.

The 'normal' operating volts are 1.8-2.0... very low!

However this is because of the extra pcb layers and therefore manufacturing quality, hence the added stability and lower voltage operating (some 0.2 volts below other similar spec'd items).

I always saw this as added overhead for clocking myself. It runs cleanly at 2.1v, I've yet to stress at 2.2-2.3 but I'm hopeful. :)

I'm using a number of benchs but Prime and Sisoft looped seem to work the RAM pretty hard. Running several memory intensive benchs side-by-side seems to keep them loaded. :D

To be honest I'm unsure as I've never used 4GB, I guess theory would suggest the more elements involved the harder it is to run them all at full steam i.e a slightly weaker one or slot letting the side down?
