GeIL DDR2 Ram & Asus P5Q-E

Hi all,

Anyone using the GeIL Black Dragon EVO ONE 4GB ?
It sure looks good for £34.49 inc VAT.

I'm going to order an Asus P5Q-E motherboard to go with it.

It's listed on the Asus QVL as being compatible. I've never used GeIL before so curious about what others think.

I've had Gigabyte boards in the past (various DQ6 models) that were all very flaky when it comes to ram, and had serious issues with both Corsair & OCZ.

I run geil on my p5Q deluxe, never any issues.

Actually swapping it out for the 1066mhz version of what you linked to tomorrow morning.

That's good to know. I'm simply swopping the guts of my current machine out for an Asus as it no will not POST with 2GB in.

I've RMA'd the Gigabyte motherboard twice over the last year or so and am looking forward to just having a stable gaming rig again.

Geil RAm is really good, I had it in my old system for ages.

The new stuff works just as well as the old stuff, you should be fine.
