Geil Memory 4x1gb ?? Confused...

hey.
Looking to upgrade when i noticed that geil have a 2gb (ddr2 1066) for £33
and another 4gb for £88 (4x1gb sticks)

they appear to be the same memory....? so cheaper to buy separate?

does uses 2x2gb sticks much diffrent from 4x1gb sticks.
i hear 2x2 is usually the best way to go.

Less strain on the northbridge and allows you to have upto 8Gb RAM if you wanted to in future.

Usually though 1gb sticks overclock better.

Apples and Pears spring to mind

well after this upgrade i will proberly move onto DDR3.

are they the same ram though? why cheaper buying 2x - 2x1gb

The 2GB modules will use higher density modules (16 to a Dimm) which have been developed more recently and so carry a premium cost.
