Geil memory on a Blackops x48

Hi, I was wondering if this memory will work on the Foxconn Blackops x48?

no because the motherboard doesn't take ddr3 it only takes ddr2 memory

this ddr2 dominator is the fastest compatible memory ocuk sell for your mobo

Is the board I have linked below the one your looking at, if yes then it's DDR3.

The memory should work, but you would probably need to overclock to get the memory at rated speed.

Yep, the Blackops is DDR3. I grabbed one when they were selling here for a bargain £80 to build a Core 2 system for someone. I had heard that it can be fussy about RAM from various manufacturers though. IIRC Micron ICs can be a problem. I put in 2 sticks of Corsair 1333 and it ran fine. Since it worked OK I didn't bother checking to see who manufactured the chips but updating to the latest BIOS will probably help if you have any trouble.
