Hi
I have a P5N-E MB and I'm using the above Ram along with my E6600. I have overclocked the E6600 and it is flying along nicely. However I can't get the Ram down to 1T. Every time I get errors, BSD's and random resets! Now I heard that the Command Rate isn't that much of an issue for Conroe's (I have been AMD for the last decade!!) If this is so, can I leave it at 2T (Which seems fine) and tweak the other parameters to 4-4-4-12 instead of 5-5-5-31.
Thanks
Heath

another reason why i now hate geil ram :p! your lucky yours does 800mhz on stock timings mine didn't on arrival, RMA'd and went for some Team Xtreme and never looked back!

I mates

the best DDR2 ram you could get has to be with Micron D9 chip´s like
Crucial Ballistix ,Team Extreem,CellShock

another brands have Micron D9 in some models of the ram like GSkhill,Corsair,OCZ etc

Mine Crucial Ballistix PC2 5300 (in a ASUS P5B de luxe) do easily more than 1000mhz 1:1 stable with 2.3V ( the ram is rated 667 mhz @ 2.2V)

And some of my friends have Team Extreem PC 5300/ PC6400 and get even better results (1100 mz and more) with the right tweakings

personally I like Crucial brand ( Micron) but Team Extreem is one of the best DDR2 RAM anyone can buy

TEAM GROUP rules :) :)

Ordered 2gig of that memory (thought it was a bargain for £130) and after reading up on it (quite a bit of negative comments) veered off and sent a webnote asking for Team Xtreem (also on offer). Micron chips all the way! (I know it doesn't help much, but if you got spare cash return it and invest in Crucial 10th anny or any other micron chip based memory).

Could someone tell me if not getting 1T CMD is enough to send it back?
Or am I asking too much.
Should I try for 4-4-4-12 at 2T and stick with it?
Will 1T make much difference?
Thanks

congrt mate

in my opinion you do the right thing- get Team Extreem DDR2 ram
i have Ballistix PC 2 5300 who have the same Micron D9 chip´s as the Team Extreem PC2 5300 3-3-3-8

I´m very happy with Ballistix, but i have some friends who have Team Extreem ( PC2 5300 and PC2 6400) and they told me that ram has a fantastic potential for overclocking

when you have the team extreem running, please post your opinion on that

it will take sum time, I'm running amd single core 3700 right now with ddr1, but I'm slowly arranging to sell al that old obsolete stuff to my mates and hopefully within a month will have new rig. the biggest decision for me is whether i should invest in 880gtx now or wait till r600 ati release and buy it then for cheaper price.

thats the only reason i ordered team xtreem ram, their insane overclockability. read up a LOT about geil 6400, turned out to be a bit of a disappointment (overclockabilty wise naturally) and decided to go for something else that was on offer. Heard they are a bit better then crucial 10th anny in terms of overclockability so went for 'em.

quick question to admins/owners of the forum. why when i type short hand version of 'should' (s_h_u_d) it appears as ****??

eheheh

I sold my ASUS AN832- SLI de luxe & AMD X2 3800+ & Team Extreem 1 Gb DDR 500 (TCCD chip´s) one month ago
i was lucky cause i get good money for it :)

i have it for more than one year
It´s a great system - no one problem i had with it

but simply conroe takes the crown :)
