Hello

I currently have 4 sticks of geil ultra ddr2 6400 cas 4-4-4-12 in my machine running on a Abit IP 35-E motherboard. One of the sticks of ram has failed, i’m looking to replace just the one stick but it seems almost impossible to get hold of that ram anymore. So i’m looking at replacing it with one stick of the Kingston equivalent (Kingston 1GB HyperX 800MHz PC2-6400 DDR2 Non-ECC CL4 Low Latency (4-4-4-12) Memory - KHX6400D2LL/1G) which is identical apart from the voltage rating- the geil is 2.0 and the Kingston is 1.95. will this work ok together?

If not can you recommend any other ram that will work with my Geil stuff

Cheers

Pete

do you run any channel modes?
is it 32 or 64 bit?

in the meantime if your mobo allows it run in dual channel mode.

its 64 bit and it runs in dual channel mode.

not sure what you mean in that second part- i havent bought the new stick of ram yet as i want to make sure it will work.
