Thanks, I tried setting it to 3,4,4,8 at 1T and it worked fine, ran memtest for a while and played games with no issues. I'm trying 2.5,3,3,8 at 1T right now and see how it goes. I've left the voltage at auto, hopefully it will run fine at this setting. I'm just wondering if it will show any benefits.
In any case I'm suprised I still get stuttering in some games with 2gb ram. I was just playing condemned: criminal origins and while maximum texture detail is now playable, I still get the odd stuttering when the game autosaves or I turn a corner in a new area. Same thing with BF2, but it only happens briefly when loading a new map. Everything else does feel considerably more responsive though.
Is this normal? Am I expecting too much from 2gb? I can't understand why games developers don't load everthing into the memory because clearly theres still loads available; when I quit the game, windows desktop and icons are still completely in the memory and fully responsive.
