Got this ram 2 x 2gb for my Sandybridge build last week (£38.99) and for value ram it is amazing :D

Standard timings are 9-9-9-28 at 1600mhz at 1.5volts
You can run at 10-10-10-34 at 1800mhz at 1.55volts, but it holds no benefit in real world benchmarks, due to the looser timings offsetting the increased frequency.

Have been playing with timings/speed/volts etc (with help from Gibbo, thanks mate)

Best timings you can run are as follows:-

9-9-8-27 at 1.48volts Stop press!!! You can do 9-9-8-24 at 1.45volts

I will be upgrading to sandy bridge in stages over the coming months to ease the load on my wallet.

Hmm this RAM looks appealing... buy or not to buy now?

1T too. RAM on my shortlist at the moment is this, XMS 3 and Ripjaws-X. However, the XMS and Ripjaws appear to be 2T from my research.

Can you confirm the RAM did 1T at 1.5V?

Thanks!

Good info, thanks, very pleased about the voltage as I'm kinda scared of the low limit brought in by Sandy B... Current sticks need ~1.68V to run at stock, so kinda boned on keeping those.

Now to decide if 4x4GB sticks is madness :D

I have problems running this memory on my X58 system. Can't run it any faster than 1066 without my system refusing to boot. Could the memory possibly be faulty?

yes, timing were all set according to the label on the packaging.

From what i've gathered, I think its my CPU causing the problems. As far as Im aware, the i7 920 only officially supports 1066 memory, and I think I may have a particular bad clocking 920. It's a C0, not a D0, so that might be the reason. Maybe the memory controller on the CPU is very iffy about memory higher than 1066? Who knows....

edit: I can clock my CPU up to 3.5ghz, but it's only stable if the memory is at 1066 (or near enough) If i set the memory higher, thats when I get prime95 errors etc.

Amazing value for 4GB of decent branded RAM. Just amazing how RAM pricing in particular fluctuates so much and relatively so quickly! Thanks for posting.

After trial and error, I've worked out that the memory is not at fault, and they are infact, absolutely flawless. It's my i7 920, which unfortunatly is pretty bad for overclocking.
It's a C0, and it's got pretty big vdroop. 1.45v in the bios results in 1.392 and thats with LLC enabled. It's also far from flat. I've had to apply more thermal paste in certain areas to get more contact with the heatsink.
I can't get my memory stable at 1600, without setting the vcore to at least 1.45v.

This memory co exists nicely with OCZ 12800 at the advertised Geil settings. I am running at 1.6V however as I have not checked out the OCZ at lower.
Because of clock multipliers available and a 250FSB I run it at 1667MHz.

anyone managed to get more out of this than this?

1600mhz 9-9-8-24 at 1.45volts

Thinking about buying some, maybe someone could try 1620mhz with those timings and volts.
