Gelid Tranquillo owners, long story but I am having problems with my cpu temps.

Can you post the cpu, temps, overclock and voltage you have with your cooler so when I phone OcUK I have some more clout to my cause.

Thanks

Just wrote the following in your other thread:

The Gelid is a great cooler i've fitted a couple onto friends builds and it's been more than capable of keeping clocked Ks frosty.

Personally, if the fan is operating properly and you've tried smaller amounts of TIM, then it's probably a contact issue between the HS and the CPU.

It may be that the bracket, for whatever reason, isn't creating enough pressure bewteen the 2 surfaces so that heat transference isn't as efficient as it should be.

I would contact Gelid - they will probably send you out new fixings gratis if you link them to this thread or even send you out a replacement unit - as your results indicate a problem rather than a poor pruduct.

Additional: Are some cores exceptionally hotter than others - which may indicate one fixing isn't as secure/solid as it should be?

I've only just built my system with a gelid tranquillo and haven't OC'd yet or thoroughly tested it. However, I'm on just 20 when idling with the fan rpm at around 950. I can't remember exactly what I got when playing BFBC2 but don't think it went much above 40.

Thanks for the replies.

what temps are you getting?

Mines Oc'd to 4Ghz and i get mid-late 50's under load.

@4GHz i'm getting ~73°C under load

Ok thanks i'll contact Gelid.

What airflow fans are you using in the silencio case? What are your case temps?

It's not the best but I have 2* Apache Black 120mm Fans at the front and 1 at the rear and yes they were flat out during tests. I've also tried to take the side of the case off with an ambient temp of 16°C and its made no difference.

yes ~10°C difference, Think i've read somewhere this it quite normal thou.

(clicky)

To the rest thanks, it's nice to see temps you get in the real world to compare against.
