Seen this in the GD forum, its happens every year apperently. Has anyone hear had any experience with it over the UK, more importantly up north near sheffield. Wouldnt mind trying to catch some extremely long exposures if i could find out where to point the camera

Looks like most activity in South West of the sky.. hmm not brill fo me, thats towards the city and my garden is facin the opposite way aswell! Weather looks clear and good for the next few nites though.

I'll be going up to Dartmoor hopefully. There's a nice Tor and Stone circle that could be a good setting for some shots. 
Shame the meteors are from the south west though, directly in line with Plymouth a few miles away. Hopefully it won't affect the light amounts too much.
Best time to shoot will probably be after about 9pm as the moon will have gone down by then so there will be less light in the sky.

So what did people get? I saw a few meteors, but didn't manage to capture any (again). To compound it all the Stone Circle I went to turned out to be in a dip, so no silhouette for me there, Doh!
