Gen4 nvme worth the extra money?

Considering a 1tb nvme drive for my X570 3900x setup and was wondering if the gen4 drives were worth the extra? I'm guessing it's benchmark only differences, but would kind of like to be taking advantage of the pcie4.

From the little I've read about it here, PCIe4 is where the advantages of NVMe become more than just benchmark differences so I'd say go for it.
