Spiderweb Software has just released Geneforge 5: Overthrow, the final chapter of their Geneforge RPG series, for the Macintosh. The Geneforge games center around mages called “Shapers,” who can create monsters and servants to do their bidding. I don’t have much experience with the series, but the games are well-regarded for their intricate plots and open-ended gameplay. It’s definitely worth checking out for fans of old-school CRPGs.

I've got a few of the crpg games like avernum and geneforge from spiderweb, they make a nice alternative to going back and playing ultima 6 and 7 for the umpteenth time using dosbox.
 
Geneforge 5: Overthrow Released for PC & Demo

Spiderweb Software today announced the release of the PC version of Geneforge 5: Overthrow, the last game in the Geneforge saga. Geneforge 5: Overthrow features enormous world, with over 80 areas to explore, as well as five different factions, each with its own beliefs, cities, and quests

Must admit i liked the start of the demo and it looks far better than all its previous games..
