So AMD and Intel again have the same numbering system which is the core value X 4?

Then we have AMD using the PII abbreviation which I've not seen since 2002 (ore earlier...)

Man they like confusing us mere mortals.

Yeah the PII naming is odd, I keep thinking Pentium, a bit unfortunate.

I get the whole "Pentium II, what?" thing for a second too, but it's obvious enough that AMD aren't releasing old Intel CPUs as their own

The numbering system, that's confusing at times now. Within each company it makes sense, but what's to say a 940 is better than a 720, for example, unless you read up on it.

To the newbie, they look like the same line of product
