General HDMI question - laptops

Does laptops have a different size HDMI connector?

Boss at work wants to connect his Sony laptop to his telly via HDMI, just wondering are they all the same size, unlike USB where it has smaller versions of USB.

no there not there is mini hdmi which is normally for camcorders etc i think the new mac book pros use them as well, there are obviosly mini hdmi to hdmi cables out there

Macbooks are using a mini displayport rather then hdmi.

i remember it being mini lol and i used to work in currys, i thought they sent us some defunct hdmi leads when we first got them in ....

the only laptop i've ever seen with an HDMI port is a very new samsung, and it's a full-size port

most of the new sony's all the new media smarts from hp and a canny few more of them do, ive only seen for myself one screen with a display port and thats the one ium using now.... way to go in confusing more of the general users
