General - How do I upload pics for posts?

I have been using Imageshack to host my images but see other people's benches shown direct on the thread.

How do you do this properly?!!

yes you do.
You need to link to the url with

tags on it.
an example would be

 [img]www.imageshack.us/pictures/mypic.jpg[/img]

How much storage do you get at image shack? Is there FTP support etc?

Depending on your ISP you may have your own web space available. Or you can host it yourself on your own system if your router has the capacity to run ports through to a web server.

Also - if it's on a different web site already you can link directly although it's a bit naughty as you'll use up a big chunk of their bandwidth, especially if it's a popular thread.

Storage is unlimited. There is not FTP support but there are loads of add-ons for it.
