Is it possible to use a different modem to what's supplied by the Internet conpany

If it is could someone please recxonebs me one must be wifi

Usually it is, but depending on the provider it can be very easy to very difficult. Who is your ISP?

its aol, its not my modem just would like to get them a moden modem, it looks 20 years old, had a look in pc world but just havnt got a clue really

I would move away from AOL for a start.

its not my broadband, and i dont dont feel like i should be telling the owner what to do really i dont want to sound like a know it all maby lätér when i get to know them bettet maby, they are gettīng half deĉient speeds 15g and it works all the time, im just trying to help them improve on what they have really, im the only one who uses it really

Get them to ask AOL for a new router. You don't want to be the first point of contact for an AOL connection, trust me.
