Guys
I need to rack all your brains! I have my Q6600 G0 overclocked to 3GHZ (stock volts) using 333*9 and my quad-FSB is 1332Mhz. I have my RAM running at 1066MHz 8:5 ratio with FSB @ 5-5-5-15 2.1V. I have Prime95 toture tested it for 24Hrs stable, and CPU temps maxed out around 55oC. What I need to ask is can I improve general performance by changing the FSB to say 450*7 to give 3150MHz clock speed of the CPU and change the RAM to a 1:1 ratio have it running at 900MHz but with tighter timings say 4-4-4-12 at 2.1V. To sumarize what is better RAM at 1066MHz with looser timings or RAM running at 900MHz with tighter timings? Any thoughts?
Jonnygrunge.
