Hi, Basically its come to a time where i can finally get a new system. But i have a concern, a couple of months ago we had a power outage and my PSU went caput, i dashed to PC world and the only decent looking one they had in stock was a

500W OCZ StealthXStream 2 so i got it as i needed one right then.

But now im planning on bascially getting a new PC cast/CPU/Mobo/gfx card.

to get to the point im wondering if this PSU will run the parts im planning on which are

not exactly sure how much a PSU needs to be to run what. Sorry if its a somewhat stupid question!

Thanks

Your psu should be fine.

You might want to look at the 2500k version CPU for overclocking options.

Ok cool, :) thanks for the quick reply. I'm pretty i linked the 2500k version, or am i getting confused with something else, although i've never really been interested in overclocking. :)

And you can always go for a lesser mobo if you want to save a few quid. This one you have chosen has 2 PCI-E 3.0 x16 slots and 1 PCI-E 2.0 x16 slot, that's a lot of x16 PCI-E slots and unless you're absolutely planning on going sli in the future then there's not much point.

Haven't really decided on sli at the moment, but it might be somthing i would look into in the future.

So my 500W PSU would definatly run the 2GB GTX560ti (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-140-MS&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1341)

or the 2GB Phantom (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-146-GW&tool=3)

with the other parts? just want to make sure incase i do actually need to buy a PSU aswell, i've read that a 650W should be the minimum i could get away with :S
