I currently work shifts at work, and no-one likes a certain shift which I dont mind doing, I just hate the hour it takes to get home at 11pm when walking through town so want to get a mo-ped so I can offer to work all the late shifts, and I get an extra 15% on my daily wage when I do this shift, so my question:

If I have a full UK driving licence, can I ride a mo-ped (upto a certain CC) without having to take a CBT or do I have to have a CBT regardless?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

In that case (as your license was given after 2001) you'll need to do a CBT before you can ride it without L plates, I believe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Can you tell me what letters are on the back of your current license? If you have P you can ride a motorcycle

Engine capacity must not exceed 50 cc and the maximum design speed must not exceed 50 km/h (31 mph) and wont need L plates.

I passed my car test in 05 and can ride them, and did so before I got my full unrestricted bike license

To do a CBT its about £100 and lasts you for 2 years
