General System Stability

So now my rig is built (thanks to everyone who helped contribute concerning the various issues/aspects during my build).

I am now conscience of general system stability.

I have kept everything at stock and I feel the system is solid (at least in Windows).

But once an evening I would come across an error or two of somekind. E.g. yesterday it was:

1) Upon closing IE, a message popped up "Internet Explorer is not responding"
2) Watching a clip in full screen on Youtube causes the screens to go black and then come back to life again but with a mesage in the bottom right corner (Display Driver not responding) or words to that effect.

Can anyone tell me what I should be looking for to diagnose and solve these issues?

Thanks everyone for your inputs. I just used IE in the past as Ive had no problems with it. But will consider switching ofcourse.

I also noticed that scrolling on web pages seems to be smoother and more responsive in IE than in Firefox, that's really the only reason.

1. Does anyone know how to import FAVOURITES BAR (not bookmarks) from IE to Firefox?

2. Concerning Mobo/GPU drivers which versions are the latest for the following hardware?

MSI Z87 G45
Sapphire Vapor X 280X

Thanks all!

Well I used firefox and I noticed the cursor seem to be artifacting or glitching? (it turns from an arrow into just a vertical line which is slightly corrupted).

It doesn't happen on other screens though that's the weird thing....

Me again. :)

IE does sometimes do that to me, i think its just a bug it has sometimes.. Though it may be worth running Cystal Disk Mark to check your SSD speeds.

Another thing to run is Memtest 86, this will bring up any RAM errors you may have.

Also make sure you download the latest GPU drivers.. :)

Hey DS.

I ran Crystal Disk Mark and as far as I can see results look ok (I dont have a frame of reference to be honest!)

Also concerning memtest. Presumably its best to run it out of windows (i.e. from boot) which I did. I selected the first option run (sstandard one I think).
I left it to run overnight since it was quite late. Looked at the results this monring which stated it did 4 passes and 0 errors.

Checks out so far? Anything else I need to do?

I noticed that windows generally feels a little sluggish, Im not sure why this is....
