Got my new system up and running last night. Just wondering how my temps are ? I ran Prime95 small FFT test over night with no errors, and now running large FFT's for the last 5 hours and still no error or BSOD. The load temps when running Prime95 are around 63 to 66, the absolute highest it went to was 69.

Asus Rampage II Extreme
i7 [email protected]
Corsair DDR3 6Gb (1600Mhz)
Asus Matrix GTX285 (ROG Extreme o/c)
Noctua nh-d14

Vcore 1.28v (droop 1.27)
QPI 1.3v
CPU Ratio x22
BCLK 182

In general, does this look ok ?

Many thanks for any comments.

Ian.

I've got the NH-U12P and using the NT-H1 compund.

When I first put it together on stock bios I was getting around 31C idle and 53C load. found that was a good bench mark to see if I'd seated the heatsink well and also if the paste was applied well. You should check/ post up you stock temps as well

Did stay on stock for long thou :D

Current setup is

Vcore 1.264v (CPU-Z)
CPU Ratio x21
BCLK 180

One thing I noticed about Noctua NT-H1 was that my temps drops by about 2-4C after three days. so maybe wait out to see if it cures a bit

Thanks, my idle temps at 4.0Ghz are around 30/31. Now running Large FFT on Prime as we speak, coming up to 6 hours now, highest temp so far on this test is 67.

Those temps are grand, generally intel burn test or LinX will generate a bit more heat, they normally run 5-6c higher than prime on my i7 setup.

Nice temperatures there. I have to say, I'm a little envious. I'm running the Noctua as well and I'm on 38c idle on stock speeds, I've resat the cooler about 3 times now but no change so there has to be something wrong somewhere! I'm looking to achieve what you have achieved.

Thanks mate, a lot of it depends on your case. I have an Akasa Mirage with sharkoon 2000rpm x 2 fans, or maybe I have been lucky with the chip ?
