Hi there, im looking for a low end laptop (£200 - £400) that, is good for office, and visual basic. So general use basically. I will be doing a lot of typing and prefer chiclet keys, so these are fairly essential.

A nice looking laptop is a bonus.

Thanks in advanced

EDIT: Screen size can't be above 15.6" and must be above 10". i know its a tall order for the money, I may be able to stretch a littlemmm

Acer 4810TZG grade A1.
Acer 3810TZ.
Toshiba Satellite T130-13Q.
HP Pavilion DM3-1112SA
HP Pavilion MD3-1155EA

The top three should be available for around £350. The HP is more expensive, but better quality. Also has a graphics card, and comes with external optical drive.

thanks for the reply mate, I cannot find anything on HP Pavilion MD3-1155EA, is that the model with the Graphics card and external optical drive? search returns no results.

Thanks for the post mate !

Yeah, I meant DM3. that's the version with the neo X2 and the HD4330. It's on sale on the HP website for £499.

The CULV version of the DM3 has a GMA graphics chip (so no or little 3D), but will have superior battery life. The AMD version should not be too shabby either (about 5-6 hours, versus 8-9 hours).
