If you're running prime 95 stress test is it normal for other programs that may be running to crash? Had my quad @ 3.6 ghz and under stress i noticed that wmp crashed a few times as did internet explorer. Never really noticed this kind of behaviour before.

Im aware of that, but the thing is i would have expected prime to throw out errors pretty fast, it was running for a good hour with no errors and just the programs crashing , wmp crashed after maybe 10-15 secs each time.
