new title from Avalanche Studios who make games Just Cause series, theHunter / Call of the wild.
called Generation Zero. just announced. set in the 80s on Apex engine which is what call of the wild is made on . could be a great interesting game.

Where have I heard that theme tune before? It's almost like it's a rip off of a very popular movie franchise about the rise of killer robots and humanity's struggle to survive.
 
Looks promising, with this, Division 2 and maybe Borderlands 3 , looks like the immediate future of co-op shooters is very promising. Gonna have me some fun next year !

Yeah, fairly blatant, but I'd say it's just a placeholder given how far out the game is.

Looking at the trailer again, I got a HL2 Episodes nostalgia hit off it - the Hunters chasing you down in the forests outside City 17. :o
 
Yeah it is quite obvious, I don't think they're trying to hide it. It looks like it could be good, but little things like that make me question the overall decision making going on. Was that really the best choice?
 
Has potential and nice to see something other than zombies to shoot at! Not seeing the HL2 vibe at all though (as mentioned above), looks kinda generic and not very well thought at from what they've shown so far. It's very easy to create a big, open world game these days...making it fun, good to play and with a decent narrative seems to be the big challenge. Mindless shooting with fetch quests won't cut it.
