If you are thinking 24-70 F2.8L, then I disagree. Had one, sold it. 24-105 was sharper!

24-70 can be sharper, but there are more variable copies. I've owned both and it took 5 copies of the 24-70 before i was happy that it was sharper than the 24-105

Yep, agree with this. I just obtained great results with the 24-105 out of the box so stuck with it.
