Mine has a display issue so booked in. Is it best to wipe it first? Also do they diagnose in front of you and give you a price to fix it or do they take it away for a few days and then give you a price and see if you want to proceed?
Usually, and if i can, i do a backup and create a 'Genius' account for them to use. If there's sensitive data then either remove or nuke the system from orbit, which is our policy at work before it gets handed over for repairs.
