Might get 2, but there 3 pin and not 4 pin which my gigabyte z77-d3h uses. Can i still use them or would i need some sort of adapter? As when i look for posts about the fans ppl say about fan controllers but i dont have any or want any.
You can plug 3 pin fans into the four pin fan headers no problem. You will just lose the PWM speed control so the fans will run at max speed constantly (unless you use a voltage resistor)
Yeah, the newer Asus mobos handle 3pin fans pretty well - that's what I use. Not sure you will have the luxury with your board though so in the end a small fan controller might be the way to go :S
K bought 2 then off ebay as there £6 each atm. Im not too fussed with noise unless its really bad, ill see how they go when i put them in the new build im doing. Going to put 1 in the front of the case drawing air in and the other one to pair up with the kuhler 620 in a push pull with the antec fan that comes with the 620.
