Hi all after some advice as trying to upgrade some components and was wondering if i have to budget more.

I currently have an old cheap case running serveral test systems but my 12 year old wants to have his own P.C so thinking of taking parts that i have lying around the cpu and mem is on a GA-M61PME-S2 motherboard

Maximum Memory Capacity: 4096MB
Currently Installed Memory: 4GB
Dual Channel Support: Yes
CPU Manufacturer: AuthenticAMD
CPU Family: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ Model 11, Stepping 2
CPU Speed: 2200 MHz

I currently have a spare SATA DVD R/W and a SATA 250gb disk which should be enough to see him started.

What i am after is advice on a Case (want something that looks pretty good have seeen some good reviews of the CM 690 and scout cases) and PSU and maybe a cheapish PCI card as the the onboard card is not that good geforce 6100. OS will be MS latest and greatest but not sure as to jump to 64bit.

Was looking at around £150 if possible ?

Thanks

Only around 3.25Gb actually, depending on system overheads. Less if a 1Gb graphics card is used. A 64bit OS is highly recommended for more than 3Gb od ram.

Guys can i draw on your exsperience and ask if anyone has ever used a SATA PCI card as just found a couple of extra SATA drives that i use to have in my windows home server before i upgraded and as the current motherboard has only 2 SATA ports was thinking of adding extra. Or can i have more than one sata device of one controller
