Daytona USA is coming to psn tomorrow and live on Wednesday.

800 msp and included in the ps plus program.

This is awesome, I will certainly try the demo and if it's as good as I hope I will buy it.

Who else spent hours on this when they were younger?

ROOOOOOOLLING STAAAAAAAAAAAART!

Blue blue skies I see!

Can't wait for this. Hopefully if this does well, Sega will give the same treatment for Daytona USA 2 also. It's a shame the second game never had a home console port, other than having a few of it's stages featured in the original Xbox OutRun 2.

My local arcades still has both games, £1 for 3 credits. Shame about the quality of the machines though. Crap area + chavs = poor poor machines.

How much will this be on PSN?

With "inFAMOUS: Festival Of Blood" & "PixelJunk Sidescroller" coming to PSN as well this week, it's going to be an expensive week.

Arkham City arrived in the post as well today and ICO collection is still sitting sealed. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

I've found all of the DC/Arcade era re-releases to be big disappointments that haven't aged that well, Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi etc. which is a shame as they were all absolutely awesome when they came out.

Hopefully this might be the one that changes that, although a release of Power Stone might help too :p

The one thing that worries me is the steering.

That has never ported well to any pad, and the cars look very twitchy in that video, notice they hardly show cars going round corners.

I wonder how this compares to the arcade version and what the wheel support is like. There was an arcade in Hull in the early 90's that had it 5 credits for a nugget. I was on there for about 1/2>3/4 hr :p

Anyone else remember spending hours and much money trying to get the '777' on the beginner track. I could never get it.

Indeed.

The Saturn version was just too weird on it's pad, though actually kind of playable, but the 2001 version for the Dreamcast was incredibly sensitive and twitchy.

Dreamcast version was fantastic as i remember, they did a real good job with it. Not quite sure about this in the year 2011 though as some games are better left in memory.

How about Scud Racer, i don't remember that being ported to any machine. It would be nice if it appeared on PSN and Live.

I really want to get this, but it would have been nice to upscale the gfx a bit more, maybe make the cars look more realistic?

I had a go on the demo yesterday and the handling isn't too bad, yes it's a little skittish, but it is not too bad.

WIll buy this when I get some more points.

Came out this week on the eu psn.

Took my money today, and like mary popins, it's practicaly perfect in every way:)

More a dream thinking daytona would ever show on the download platform, with the licenses ect..

Thank you sega, done good:)

F-355?

Yeah it took it's damn time as well.

Bought it and downloaded yesterday and cruising around in Karaoke Mode.

Sega really needs to do Chu Chu Rocket. I mean seriously, this is a perfect game for a download version and online multiplayer so why haven't they still done it.
