Microprose and Crammond are reuniting to re-release the 4 Grand Prix games.

I loved these games and specifically enjoyed GP2, running entire full length race seasons and doing driver swaps with my brother.

I was just about to post something about this, Grand Prix 3 and 4 was my life growing up. I've still got the boxed versions stored away somewhere. I spent ages modding and perfecting Grand Prix 4, even had a dabble at modding and doing liveries too.

Steam workshop with modding support too? Yes please. It seems the licences for the teams, cars and drivers has changed. Hence the made up names and sponsors etc, but the tracks have remained.

Sign me up :D

I remember my dad taking me and my brother to the Olympia in London for a games show and we played and bought the first game and spent the train journey home reading the substantial manual

Yes, I vividly remember the substantial GP3 manual - a great read on it's own (for racing nerds like me)

I played the first game on my brother's Amiga. I didn't want to go to work so I could play it. And prior to that we used to do hot lap competitions on Revs on the BBC micro.
