Activision let us know that Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 has been bumped up one week to July 30. Following the amazing success of the 2005 blockbuster Xbox LIVE Arcade launch title Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, Bizarre Creations thrusts players back into the pilot’s seat and introduces Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved™ 2.

Can't wait, still the best game on arcade I think.

I'm pretty angry, I was going to celebrate getting broadband back by purchasing Geometry Wars 2 on the day of release, now it's coming out a week before, how dare they! :mad:

plug the 360 into your pc and use ICS on a dial up connection. One short (all night/day/week long) phone call later you are the proud owner of GW2 (not Gears of War 2 or God of War 2 or Guild Wars 2 but Geometry Wars 2).

Simple.

Yeah it's a good deal, these point should last me a long time because I'm quite picky when it games to arcade games. Ones I have in mind is Geo Wars 2, Castles Crashers and the new Galaga. I was thinking about buying some xbox originals but realised I can get the disc version cheaper and they run better :s.

Does Geo Wars 2 fix the snake bug? It was the only thing that was wrong with the first game.

Will probably get this. Only got the first one a few days ago, didn't realise this one was coming so soon. Think I need more practice on the first one before I play it though, I can only get about 310,000 score.

I've been waitin for this for so long now. the first one is awesome, the one on the wii is ok but the controls just don't work for me

(even with the retro controller) and the same with the DS one

Do we know if it will be 4-player multi over Live? (hopes it will!)

Ok, looking forward to this game very very much. Got some good scores on the first and the DS versions. Slight problem though unrelated to the game but didn't feel the need for a new thread.

Just brought 1400 points on a pre paid card thing, I get it home and the code I entered is invalid. VERY annoyed as I live quite far from my nearest store. Any ideas? Is there a time limit from when you buy it to when it's active? Should I return it or contact microsoft? Help, I want this game a lot.

I assume you triple checked you had put the code in right? If not, call Microsoft as it saves you going back to the store. If you get no luck with them, go to the store.
