Geometry Wars 3 : Dimension

its published by Sierra Entertainment with a few of the original gang members making it.
That's one game that kept me going back to my 360 .

only problem is that it looks more like super stardust now.
 
I'm quite surprised how far under the radar this seems to have slipped. Geometry Wars 2 was one of the best games on the Xbox 360 Live Arcade, and is pretty much the only reason my 360 is still set up now that PinballFX2 has made it to the XBox One.
 
So this is out now. Got decent reviews. Bought it today and played a few hours. Loving it. Looks awesome, the soundtrack is decent. There's some nice gameplay additions plus it has most of the Geometry Wars 2 modes as well.
 
I've really just played classic deadline since its release which was my mode of choice on Geometry Wars 2. I'm still about 10 million points short of my highest score on 2, but it does feel a bit different to play.
 
I'm enjoying it a lot. Loved the first two. I just beat your high score last night Melchy. I'm wingzero124 :)

It'll take me a while to match your score I think :) I've been swapping back and forward between playing it on PC. I prefer using the 360 controller on PC and I've got a slightly higher score on the PC than Xbox One which I think is down to the familiarity of the controller. I've personally no idea how people are getting the top scores of 60 million +.
 
Glad I'm not the only one who double dipped. Up for adding me on steam too? Nice to have a bit of competition. :P I'm Zero5 on Steam. I'm on my laptop though and it's not too good at running it smoothly. That's my excuse for a low score on there. ;)

I've got a lot of work to do to get my reactions back for this. I've played so many variants of this game type now but Geometry Wars is easily my favourite.

Hopefully I've added you on steam. I know what you mean, I feel so sluggish playing it compared to when I was at my best on Geometry Wars 2. The onslaught of colour and sound the game brings isn't for everyone, I've had friends comment that they have no idea how I can play it. I'm not a fan of the updated music in "Deadline" and would prefer the option to switch to the original soundtrack.
 
I do have to say that the PC version doesn't run as smoothly as the Xbox One version even at 1080P, there's definitely some patching needed. I also don't think either version are quite as slick as Geometry Wars 2 on Xbox 360 hopefully this is something that will be improved.

Just played for a bit to the second boss and love it. Doesn't seem to run great at times on PC but sure it will get sorted.

Managed to hit over 20m on one of the levels.
 
I think I'm going to stick with the one version. Too much stuttering for this game to be fun. Needs to be as smooth as possible. I did try to add you on steam anyway McGray, but it said it couldn't find you.
 
Got this running a bit better on the laptop now. ( windowed mode seems to help a lot, if anyone else is having framerate issues).

I can't seem to get back above 10 million on deadline. That 14m was a total fluke apparently :p
 
Got up to 12.7 million on the Xbox One version in Deadline, but I'm having real trouble getting the extra couple of million to match your score Zero5. I'm a bit frustrated as I could quite easily knock out scores above 16 million on Deadline on the 360 in GW2, with my best being somewhere around 19.7 million.
