I was given one of these as a present for Christmas. Yet to use the contraption and being a n00b to any real form of kitchen activities I'd like to learn some simple cooking that will utilise my new toy.

I've got some cook books but I'd like to hear from people who have tamed the beast.

Looking to find out some tried and tested methods.

:)

shove it at the back of the cupboard and foget about it , ours was used twice I think

dries your food out and is a right git to clean

It's so good he put his name on it.

Seriously though, I've used them before, they're really good. You get grilled steak that doesn't swim in its own grease.

Try grilling unorthodox foods in it, particularily those that don't really fit, squashing them down until they do. Then put them in rolls and eats them.

Steak? George Foreman? Crazy. That's the easiest way to ruin a good steak.

They're pretty good for stuff like sausages, burgers, bacon etc (stuff with high fat content). Not so good for more expensive cuts of meat as they do tend to dry stuff out.

I used mine a lot, sausages, burgers, chicken breasts, salmon, bacon, cheese on toast, even did grilled garlic mushrooms in it! Great bits of kit.

Thanks for the replies :)

Anyone care to share their cooking methods? I know what to put on them just not how long to cook things for. I murder beans on toast so need some help!!

It makes a good and easy toasty machine
That it does!

Have also used ours for bacon and other meat such as sausages and even chicken once I believe. Very handy machine and would disagree about it being difficult to clean - just wipe it with a damp cloth and Robert's your mothers brother.
