Went to Germany last week, visited the Dams that were targeted by 617 Squadron 70 years ago. Postponed it a few times due to bad weather.

First time I've been there, wish I went sooner, gorgeous country, superb roads. Quality of the roads are second to none and such biker awareness there too. Good times!

Anyone else been there biking etc? (obviously a lot go to Nurburgring!)

I was there about 2 hours ago. Was on 2 wheels but not motorised sadly, had to pedal myself.
Rode down by the Moselle river, wish I had my motorbike with me as the roads are fantastic. Definitely going to have to come back on the bike

Awesome. I would love to go. I had planned to go with a good friend of mine, but he's useless at getting the holidays booked off soon enough

I went a couple of years ago on a Blackbird. Eiffel region, down the Mosel to the black Forrest. Wonderful roads, views and people. Food wasn't the best though!

Nice pics of the dam. Went to Germany on the bike (1200 Bandit) to visit my daughter and son in law.Sadly didn't get much time to tour but enjoyed it very much,good roads,good weather and great scenery. Can't say I liked the Germans much,but maybe that was just "Garrison Town" mentality.

I love Germany for biking, especially as I live there with the Army hah..

However, this year I'm away... my S1000RR is sitting in a mates garage with out me

Watched some guy on you to the tube a few months ago that visited a load of place in Germany as his missus was from there I believe his missus was on a cbr600 and he was on an SV650 apart from doing a 10 min ride to a neighboring village on the wrong side of the road it looked absolutely amazing!

I plan on doing my license this/next year and getting a bandit hopefully one of the first places ill go to im sure
