This is what has been troubling me. I mean I'm sure if i got the current model I'm sure it would be really fast, but i don't see why Intel would put a motherboard in there that was not 64bit to go with the 64bit CD2!

There is meant to be a Apple press conference on the 20th of Feb, some people on "macrumors" think its going to be the top secret features in leopard and a release date. But i cant see it myself from what i have read leopard is not ready yet.

I do see your point, As this is how it always is i may bye now and then wait until the end of the year revision.

I'm sure the Santa Rosa will be a good update but not as good as the one later in the year i think that will a much more substantial update?

I will be getting my 17" Macbook Pro next week hopefully, im not worried about this rumour at all.

I find that if i hold off ill always be holding off. Mac's seem to keep there value a lot better aswell so when the time comes you can sell the Macbook and still get quite a good return.

My G5 powermac can be sold for £800 and its been out for 3 years!!! Comparing that to PC's you'd be lucky to get £200!

im in the same boat... im waiting to buy a mac mini to go with me 19" widescreen.... but im holding out for leopard.... sometimes the itch to just get it now is very tempting..not sure if its worth it really...i dont know
