Get a webpage to show up in a Google Search

Hi,

I am trying to get my dads website to show up when you type in something like spanish villas in google. Now I am using Dreamweaver MX and have put in meta tags into the heading and it still doesn't want to know, I have tried putting loads of words in the meta tags still no luck.

Is there a program that can do this, don't need it as the very first thing found by google but it would be nice to be on the first page. Or do you have to pay or something to get this high in the search?

I had a quick look at your site and sorry to say but you haven't a chance .. the only way to do that is to use pay per click.

i disagree. if you optimise your page correctly and get listed at dmoz then it isn't difficult, but it takes a while. you just need to be patient.
two years ago i was lucky if i could find a single link to my site in google - now i'm all over it!

although it does depend on how much competition you have of course.

Don't waste your time trying to SEO for such a specific/small site. Use Adwords to get visitors right your way, though you do of course have to pay (Adwords = the sponsored links beside search results)

keywords like "spanish villas" will be hotly contested, on the other hand "Kev's spanish villa" would be better. but who's going to be searching for that?
