It's said to blur the lines between single-player and multiplayer with "ambitious new dynamic and photorealistic graphics". The teaser trailer is below.

The story is focused on the memories of the game's heroes. The route the player chooses to follow determines the hereos' personality as the plot unfolds. The Farm 51 said Get Even mixes elements of thriller and horror with exploration.

"When players embark on a single-player mission, others on the network can join the quest as enemies, so players never know whether their opponents are human or CPU-based," the developer explained.

"This suspense further heightens the player's feeling of a threat."

Why do we have to wait for the new consoles for graphics like these? This, Division etc. could have came out years ago, gotten hype/buzz from console gamers who can't afford/don't want a PC just for being so amazing, and then promised for next gen consoles... Games would be out sooner, technology would be further ahead and the games mentioned would sell better overall.

Agreed
It's horrible to think we could and can already run something like this couple years ago.

If that is real time in engine then it is very impressive, even if it needs several of the 2015 equivalent of the 780Tis to look like that.

It still makes me wonder what Alan Wake would have been like if it remained a DX10 poster child instead of switching to the 360 and then back to the PC :(

Calm down:) Part of this teaser was recorded live-action. What we want to show you is how easy game can mix with real footage. Hence the question: what is real here? This is the hook:) Cheers!
That's one of the replies by the Devs, therefore the graphics aren't as stunning but still good; you can see which parts are and aren't real.

Honestly was quite easy to tell between the live action and cgi. Still a damn site better than majority of games out there :)

Fingers crossed it has gameplay/storyline as well. Getting bored of graphical masterpieces without a storyline further than "ooo that looks good" haha

Same dev made Deadfall Adventures a stunning looking UT3 engine game in late 2013 which is probably the best looking UT3 game ever made

They have some talented artists but they are still independent so do not have the PR budget to match their talent :(

If it was live action with some CGI then colour me unimpressed, especially if those CGI bits werent done in real time in the engine. It would certainly explain why I thought a lot of the shots looked so real though :p

Definitely live action mixed with C.G. but I don't see anything in the screenshots (which also look like concept art + C.G.) that is more impressive than current AAA titles. Wonder how they'll implament the multiplayer.

What is real? Not this! :p

'Vanishing of...' looks very nice.

Not sure if its intentional (not sure the game mechanics) but in one of the images the thermal sight on the gun shows a different image to whats happening in the scene its pointed at heh.

Haha when I started watching it I was astounded by the quality and how realistic the environment looked. Actually got a bit over excited (me being a graphics whore after all :D). Then at 0:32 the iphone appears and it was UGLY! I shortly came back to reality all depressed :(

Side note I'm creating a real life mod for plants vs zombies. Currently filming the trailer in my back garden :D The new grass engine is soo realistic!

Yea Rroff, I noticed this freaky gun-arm-phone and I assume its going to reveal to you the 'truth', maybe a second or so ahead so you can react. Just a guess though.

why is it? it's just high res textures ,all the shadows etc are pre baked and not real time.

nothing impressive is happening there just high resolution textures

Im pretty sure ive see that whole warehouse / graffiti environment before, maybe it was a vimo vid, and if memory serves me right it was a 3d scan fly through. This just looks like some creative editing in after effects to me.

I cba to watch the op's video again to see if it's the same one or not

Geometry, lighting and shadows were scanned not calculated. I am guessing that all effects like bulletholes, smoke, dynamic scenery (doors you can open) and additional lighting will all stand out and look fake. How is the program to know if a dark patch might be a shadow or a dark bit of wall? It would have to know for dynamic lighting to work. The uncanny valley might be deep on this one.
