Get ps3 patches without internet?

If i don't have access to internet through my ps3 how would i get the patches?

As above, you can't. You can update the system software but you need to be able to connect to the internet to get game updates.

Can't you download via sony website onto USB ? It's how I done my ps4 patch just before launch?

You can do this for system software updates. You can't do it for game patches.

If someone has the same game and has the patches downloaded on their console, can you copy the files for the game onto USB from the Game Data folder or is copying blocked?

What happened to downloading the software from Sony's site and putting them on the USB, That's what I used to do for a mate that didn't have internet.
