Get RAID1 to be recognised under winXP Pro (SI3114R on A8N Sli Deluxe)

Recently connected a pair of Maxtors to the SATA Silicon Image Raid controllers on my A8N Sli Deluxe...set it to RAID 1 under the SI BIOS...

PC boots ok and the RAID config is recognised under BIOS...

the SI software in windows recognises the RAID config and shows the array as healthy etc...

However, no drive letter appears under 'My Computer' and I can't see the RAID drives there :confused:

updated windows etc but still no result..

anyone know how I can see/use this RAID config under windows?

For some bizarre reason after a recent system update, device manager sees my PC as having three floppies (only have one!)

Have you gone into disk management (Right-Click "My Computer" > Manage > Disk Management) and looked to see if the volume is there?

If so, assign it a drive letter from there!
