You know the dotted box around links/buttons/icons etc. It looks pretty ugly.

It usually comes up when you press the arrow keys and move a selection box around.

Any way to get rid of it from vista? and in apps e.g. firefox, thunderbird

yeah i do too, but it still irritates me when it comes up. Especially on confirmation buttons etc, like now i am about to click post quick reply and up comes the ugly little dotted biatch

I found that it doesn't appear in IE, but does with firefox, for example if i click the ocuk logo at the top left of this page a dotted rectangle will appear around the image, but in IE i doesn't. Ill have a look in the config and google it to see if there is a fix or addon for firefox, thats where it annoys me most really.

got rid of in in firefox by setting browser.display.focus_ring_width to 0 in about:config. Doubt itll be that easy to do in explorer tho :p

mm i never did, but once i notice something like that and think "thats not v.nice" it bugs me until i get rid of it, and especially as vista is all glossy and fancy it kinda spoils it. I found a really easy fix for vista, but its only for 32 bit
