Get the message?

There was a women in my town a few years back that had a car coem around the corner and crush her into the back over another car. It basicly pinned her there and cut her in 2, she died :(

As always the message is "don't drive like a ****" rather than "don't speed" :).

Agreed, it is a powerfull advert, but there are lots of other factors at play there, the main one being driving like a tool.

If his car was quicker he would have overtaken and been pulling in before the dog even stepped out ;)

But yeah driving like a tool is bad mmmkay.

Doesnt the highway code state that you shouldnt swerve for an animal ?

Yep, Your suposed to nail it dead.

Well brake and try slow down( if no one is on your arse) with out swerving and if you collect it then thats that.

How ever some people justcant overcome there instinct and will swerve because of that

I think that's very effective. Why have I not seen this on TV yet? I'm glad I always slow down whenever I see anyone either walking sat down etc, or driving. It's not just your life you're playing with anymore !

That car he overtook could have been going really slow and he didn't break the speed limit though.

Powerful for the results yes but highly unrealistic.

A quick glance at the comments shows the beginnings of a 'speed vs bad driver' argument, except unlike here, it is going to be argued by 12 year old americans with no writing/debating/arguing/driving/brain ability. Should be semi amusing to read in a day or two.

Not necessarily, you don't have to be going that fast to generate that kind of impact. You don't know what speed he was doing, either.

Also, he's overtaking, before a junction, down a dip, following behind another car, not got clear line of sight to what's ahead, accelerating hard = inappropriate.

You're not supposed to analyse the crashes anyway, that's not the point of adverts like these!
