Get this headset

Hey guys,

So I have just picked up the Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless and I just thought I would post to say that they are simply incredible. I have been using AKG, Beyerdynamics and Sens for years but I am just blown away. They are £299 and I have never said this before but I think that is too little for what you are getting. Anyone looking for a headset check out reviews for this, I am stunned.

I agree - I was silly enough to spend a fortune on the Steelseries Arctic Pro wired set and they soon went back. We all hear things differently I guess, but they were nowhere near the audio quality I hear from my AKG, Sennheiser and Beyer headphones I own.

I own the best AKG on the market right now, I own 2 different pairs of beyerdynamics too and have previously owned sens. Trust me this headset to me is better than them all I have tried. I am not just posting to say "this is the best look at me" because believe me I buy them all. But this is the best I have ever listened too by a country mile and I never expected that to be the case at all. I love AKG, Beyer and Sens. I found that after the software update there was big improvements with this headset, but I already watched a few reviews so I knew that was the case.

Highest priced "audiophile" models might not be designed at all for accurate sound.
For example £100 level K701/702 are more accurate than double priced K712.
And K812 and K1000 are just horribly inaccurate for reproducing complex signal with multiple frequencies:

Beyerdynamic also likely has some very inaccurate tuning models.

And Sennheiser certainly does that, with whole "warm" famous for music sound of HD650 being that of more inaccurate reproduction than in cheaper HD500-serie models.
Also Sennheiser is very focused on open headphones they invented and got famous for that, so closed ones might be rather average.
Besides having various high price portable wireless fashion headphones.

Like I just said, price etc doesn't automatically correlate in any way with accuracy of signal reproduction.
(with "audiophiles" often even chasing inaccurate reproduction)
So always remember to specify model when it comes to audio maker headphones.

Hi Esat, I own the following headphones mate. Now I can only compare these new ones to what I have owned and that is obviously all I can go off. I currently own the below headphones and I have owned many other pairs. I love the Beyer headphones. I have had about 4 pairs of sens but no longer own them. I have just gone through a divorce and have had to move into my own place because we kept arguing in front of the children and it was not nice for them so I moved, when I was there her cat destroyed my DT770's, was gutted haha.

Cat must have hated you ignoring him/her when wearing closed headphones, eh?
Beyerdynamic sell everything as spare parts, so you could likely fix them easily.

Hehe, the cat completely destroyed them mate, the whole cable was ripped out. I love animals more than humans rofl so it defo wasn't getting ignored haha. But yeah I thought about trying warranty but the condition was such a state I left it.
The children wanted to watch a movie on my PC today and I never had any speakers, so just picked up a set of Razer Nommos Chrome for £149 and set them up, they are pretty decent for 2.0 speakers I have to say, but they are so much larger than I would have expected. Couldn't be bothered waiting so just picked them up from a local retailer. I have to admit though I can't stand Razer in the slightest, I got those speakers solely to go with all of the other RGB gear haha. (Nommos, Corsair K95, Corsair Polaris Pad, Corsair ST100 stand, Corsair Scimitar and then I have the Corsair H115i Plat RGB and all ML140 RGB fans and Corsair 64gb RGB memory and mobo lights, also use 2 1080ti Aorus Xtremes with RGB going so it can be a bit OTT!. But the speakers are not bad at all for the price really.
