Evening All;]
Im about to get a new rig and have probem deciding if i should go Xfire or not...
my new build includes :
-e8400
-Gigabyte GA-X38-DS4
-G.Skill 4GB DDR2 PQ PC2-8000C5 (2x2GB)
-Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant
My first choice was to get 2x HIS ATI Radeon HD 3870 XT ICEQ3 512MB GDDR4... but after reading tousands of reviews, forum treads i went stupid  ;] i know that soon ATI will release 3870x2 and maybe that would be better choice..or maybe insted of getttin' 2x 3870, i should go for 2x 3850 ?? or maybe single nVidia card? Just for graph card i can spend 300-350pounds...and will 620W PSU enough for Xfire ?
So as U can see i have questions questions and more questions and finally decided to ask U friedly ppl for an advice :)
THX in advance

My Crossfire 3870's manage my 24" Dell ok though they are limited by my cpu at the moment. Might be better considering a GTX at that res though

i know that its hard(expensive) to build good rig that would good fps in 1900x1200 in new games;) so im not fast in playing new games at that res...i can go lower ;)

Yes your psu is fine and id probably just go for a GTX and wait for the new Nvida and ati single cards. Both the GX2 ad X2 look like they arnt gona be doig to well and im not sure xfire (although better then sli) would really beat a GTX by enough to make it worth the hassel in games which arnt very well coded for crossfire. Plus your at the mersy of drivers.

i was goign to go SLi and i would have had the 680i mobos not been so bad. But im glad i didn't now tbh as the new cards are comign out and i dont think id really need it for anything but crysis and that doesn't really use it very well anyway.

Couldn't wait and ordered all those bits and pieces without PSU(my old one will do for now) as i went for 1 3870 ....for now:)
I hope I won't regret ;) ....time to familiarize my self how to OC c2duos :) as it was a long time since i OC my last 3200+ ;)

i think i will go for Xfire any way(I always was ATI fan,in bad and good times;) ) ....maybe nxt week or so i will get another 3870 or x2 even :D

Its totaly ilogical to go with one brand just because you had them before and to to go in the "bad and good times" because you could have got something better.

Either way your pc will still be powerful, but i think the crossfire will be short lived when the next cards come out which will probably drawf theese ones as they have had so long to make them.
