Getting 1600x900 working on 8800 Ultra

I used to run a 7950GX2 until I got the Ultra recently but with the 7950GX2 I used to get another resolution that I don't get now: 1600x900 and it ran perfect in 1080p mode on my telly.

Now all I get really is 1024x768, 1280x720 & 1920x1080 (which I use)

1600x900 is really handy as it doesn't lose a lot of definition but it would allow me to run Crysis with very high settings "a bit better" I get about 15-30fps average at 1080p.

Any suggestions?

Add a custom resolution to your nvidia drivers---> custom resolution ---> 1600x900, ---advanced options---> DMT timings, 60hz :)

Still doesn't work :/ Thanks anyway.

Just says unsupported signal. If it helps when I previously used 1600x900 on the GX2 the TV still said 1080p mode but the image was definitey 1600x900 as the framerate was higher for a start. (Wasn't 720p as looks awful)

What's DMT mean by the way?

Wont this mean running at non native res.. resulting in worse looking graphics regardless of how high you turn up the settings? seeing any TFT at non native res just makes my eyes squinty and the picture blurred and horrid.

Not in this case. :)

It used to look great, much better than 720p but not as sharp as 1080p, which didnt matter as it was being played on a telly with a 360 pad. :P
