Just bought a new router - the Asus DSL AC68U

So far it's been as good as gold. But one niggle.

I'm trying to get my MSi GS60 with the intel wirelsss AC-7260 chipset to connect in 802.11ac mode.

When I scan the wifi netwroks available I can see that the 5GHz wifi network offered by the asus router is showing up as offerign ac mode, but the win8.1 laptop just will not connect to it in ac mode.

Running netsh wlan show driver offers the following

NB 802.11ac is NOT shown..... I think I am running the latest driver. Any ideas for me to try ???

Solved it - by going into the adaptor settings and changing HT-Mode from disabled to VHT mode.

Now getting 866mbps over about 20feet.
