I'm buying the gears Limited edition 360 bundle. I think it includes a live subscription aswell. Firstly how long is the network cable to go into the phone socket because im worried it wont reach. (can i use my PC's modem network cable?). Also what other essential game should i get? Forza 2? TDU? and how good is dead rising? (I love zombies :P)

Thanks!

I love the original dawn of the dead, i long for a zombie game that captures that more light hearted feel, rather than trying to scare you silly with zombies that run really fast. I want shufflers damn it! /rant over

So forza 2 + dead rising and of course gears in the bundle. Looking good.

Right so shopping list :)

Xbox+Gears Bundle
Forza 2
Dead Rising
VGA cable
Plug and play kit.

Thanks guys, this will be my first play on a xbox360 and ive been a hardcore PC user for ages. I'm going to the dark side :)

EDIT: Oh i have just two speakers that share the same input jack, the standard little green one. I also have a hi fi system with two whacking great speakers my dad built ages ago but i dont really know much about hooking the hi fi up to my xbox...

Ok got my XBOX, and i definitely need a vga cable :S the subtitles in dead rising are so small, and the biggest tv in my house is 27inch, hopefully it will be more clear on my aging 19" CRT. A quick one, is the microsoft VGA cable male or female, does it come with an adapter?

Ye i bought from a shop, 280 for premium plus forza 2 and dead rising, then i got GOW, Overlord (for the missus) and a play + charge kit, then got 10% off everything because my student card is still valid, so all that came to £340 in *somewhere else* not bad eh? (I'm going to try LIVE tonight! on my monitor yay HD + Online! Seriously, 360 games like dead rising and GOW are impossible to play using a low def TV, although Forza was better. Ooooo! cant wait to get off work! My GF just picked me up the official microsoft VGA Cable, hopefully it will work with my monitor (which hasnt got a VGA in, but a VGA out cable). Then ill plug my phono leads into my Amp and 4 foot high Kef speakers, and knuckle down and play like ive never played before!

My PC is out of action at the moment. So do you suggest I get a router? I havent had one before, do they need to be plugged into the PC? Shall I get a wireless one? and finally, how much will this cost? Thanks for the speedy reply.
