It looks like I'm off to get a 360 tonight with a friend but I don't know what accessories I'm going to need. It'll be the premium and as he's getting 1 also a second controller isn't needed just yet. Same with the hdmi cable, neither of us have a HD TV that we can use it on. Yet.

Nice signature (The Heroes one)

There is no HDMI cable, the premium will have all you need to play on any type of screen.

The premium will come with all you need to get started, the cable is both compoiste for SDTV and component for HDTV. The 360 does not have a HDMI cable available. There is always the VGA HD cable that you can use on PC monitors to het HD gaming.

One thing you may want to consider is getting a Play + Charge kit, as you'll find yourself changing batteries quite a bit otherwise.

If you're going to use it long term on a regular SD TV you might want to get the advanced scart cable, the one that does RGB (check the back of the packaging for a specific mention of RGB since there's two similar SCART cables), since it offers superior picture quality. That's unless your TV already has component of course. Composite looks fairly awful.

You'll need GOW too :)

Make sure you get a play and charge kit for your controller. This way you won't have to shell out for AA Batteries in the future.

Hope you get the deal your after tonight.

EDIT: Doh!

But AA batteries last quite a while and are not that expensive at all, less wires to mess about with too!

How about one of these if you don't want wires trailing around?

It's the plug and charge kit, just released.

I have had my xbox for just over 2 weeks and I have played it every day for a good few hours and the battery indicator only shows 1 bar being lost. I have a few AA batteries lying around anyway so will work through them and then maybe think of getting a P&C kit. Even then I might just get a rechargable pack from somewhere, like those digital camera chargers, they are only about a fiver and will charge up AA batteries fine.

Problem is with that, you can't play while it's charging, unless you have more than 1 battery.

I bought the stand alone charge kit for £15 good value as it comes with a battery aswell and takes roughtly 30-40mins to charge. Got put off the plug in and play charger as i didnt want the cables.

I have one controller with a play and charge, and one on AA's, the AA's last longer, and since I pay £1 for 12 panasonic AA's, I reckon I can get almost a years play for £1..

I managed to pick up a Premium with GRAW and Splinter Cell and a remote that I'm not fussed about for £299 and my mate picked up the same but with R6 Las Vegas and GOW, minus the remote for the same price.

Will pick up some new games next week or so. So excited, can't wait till I get home now :D

Nice one mate, I suggest you get GoW just for the co-op with your mate - its awesome :) You should have picked the play and charge kit up as it charges your batteries but also gives you the chance to play whilst doing so. Highly recommended.

Enjoy many hours of gaming ahead of you. :D

I'm going to steal his copy and try it out then may pick it for myself. Was supposed to have got R6:LV but they had ran out as we could have had co-op on that.

Yip GoW coop is absolutely brilliant, I wasnt impressed with it on single player, but online with a mate is brilliant. R6:LV is good, but ive only played it for about 20 mins in *** week ive had it, so its not that addictive.

After playing some splinter cell and GRAW, I've realised it's been too long since I've used a controller and I'm finding it hard :( but nevermind I'll pick it back up again.

What other games can anyone suggest me getting, bear in mind I've not got Live yet as I need to figure out a way of connecting it it up when the 360 is upstairs and the net connection is downstairs.
