Going to order a Panny 900 this weekend, just wondering what cables I need to get so that I can hook it up to my PC? I've seen some projectors with what look like RGB connections? I'm guessing for PC I'd need a VGA/DVI female to male connector?

And for Digital TVBOX I would use RGB?

Cheers!

Well what cables/convertors you will need surely depends on what inputs the PJ has :)

Don't forget to consider future upgradeability when running the cables though, ie you may want to add a hdmi cable in there if it takes it.

AFIK the AE900 has the same ports as theAE700

I connect my PC to it via a standard analolgue vga cable which would be your best bet allowing you TFT to run on DVI.

Should you want to use the DVI port get a DVI -> HDMI cable for full digital goodness.

Hope that helps

Cheers

Thanks! So I want to buy a DVI to HDMI cable to connect PJ to gfx card?

And if I connect my TFT to the VGA output on my gfx card I can use both the TFT and PJ to display the same stuff at same time?

Yes you can

However i would suggest if your TFt can take DVI to use that on DVI and link your vga port on your gfx card to the projector.

This way you leave the HDMI port avalible to DVD player or HD Sky box etc

not sure if its the same on nvidia cards but on ati cards you can add the HD tv res into your res options and have your tft at its native res and the projection running at 1280 x 720
